The client’s desire for this house addition and renovation was to convert the non usable three car garage into a family room accessible from the existing house kitchen area. A pool table/bar entertainment social area with access to the pool and covered rear porch were added on. New wood burning brick fire places were built in the game room and exterior covered porch. On the front of the house we developed a new three car garage, laundry room, home office and converted an existing office area into a new bathroom and kitchen pantry. We retrofit an existing second floor area to provide a new bedroom and added a new second floor bedroom and bathroom. The addition included 3,000 s.f. of new area and we retrofit roughly 1,500 s.f. of the existing residence. To increase energy efficiency we added a new standing seam metal roof and impact windows throughout and new energy star rated air conditioning units.
